Tofino Swell Lodge

A quiet place to unwind, with a beautiful sunset over the water. There’s a huge shared kitchen, BBQ area and hot tub, and we really enjoyed how peaceful it was. The beds felt a little too firm for me, though. I’d come back with a group of friends.

The lodge is very clean and well kept, and the owners are lovely. We enjoyed the view and the facilities, especially the hot tub, BBQ and fireplace. It’s about a 15-minute trip to the town center, and you can rent bikes for a reasonable price. The beaches aren’t too far by bike either. We even spotted two whales passing by! 😍 I’d recommend it for a weekend away or a longer holiday.

The hosts are such a lovely couple, and the place feels tucked away in your own little bit of harbor on the edge of town. Shopping and beaches are still close. We had a great two-night stay and honestly could have stayed a week. The shared kitchen and living room were sweet and well stocked with dishes and pans. Bring baggies for your leftover crab! Can’t wait to come back.

It’s nice and quiet away from the main road, and town and shops are only a 5-10 minute walk. The shared kitchen, living room, hot tub and grills are a big plus. From the ocean-view rooms you get views over the gardens, small dock and harbor, but they’re on the ground floor, so people walk past the sliding door. The pink room is musty and below ground at the back, so book early if you want to avoid getting that one.
