Courtyard by Marriott Toronto Airport

The rooms were spacious and decent, but there was food and dirt under the beds. Wi-fi barely worked, and the parking lot wasn't plowed at all during the 4 days we were there, despite at least 5-6" of snow. I had to use four-wheel drive just to park. The renovation work was a downside too. I'm not sure why you'd host a hockey team while renovations are going on. The man working the “restaurant” was rude and unfriendly. Apparently he expected a tip for ringing up a pop and juice I'd picked up from the cooler.

I like the food here, and the desk staff are helpful. This is my favourite hotel near Pearson airport because it's small and cozy. The decor is “dated” and worn in places, which I actually like, even though I know most people don't see it that way. I hope the renovation doesn't take away its charm.

Even with the renovation work going on, I had a really good stay. The staff made the construction much easier to deal with than I'd expected. Parth at the front desk was especially helpful, took time to explain everything, and made sure I was comfortable. Whenever I had a question, I got an answer right away. I never felt brushed off or rushed, and you could tell he cared about making the stay good despite things not being perfect during the renos. I enjoyed my time here and am already looking forward to coming back when the work is done. If the service stays this good, it'll be even better.

It was a good experience overall, and the service was good. The lobby was being built, but we had what we needed. We checked in early in the morning and were allowed to check out later. The USB chargers in the outlets wouldn't charge my phone.
