Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Downtown

I stayed one nite and didn't experience anything out of the ordinary, despite the hotel's reputation. It's very clean, including the rooms, and well priced for such a central location. You can walk to everything downtown. You could pay more for a high-end hotel with a better reputation, but if you want a prime location at a reasonable price, this is the go-to.

Expedito at the front desk was cheerful, pleasant and helpful. I looked forward to seeing him each evening. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The location was good, as long as you don't accidentally turn down George Street while looking for parking. Trust me, don't go there.

The staff were really helpful and kind, and for what I paid the stay was good. The rooms are tiny, though, and the creaky staircase felt a bit sketchy. With no elevator, it wouldn't work well for anyone with mobility issues. I probably wouldn't come back since there are somewhat nicer places nearby.

The view was the one letdown. Nearby hotels charge more for some of the best views in the world, though. Here, the beds were clean and comfortable, the downtown Toronto location was great, and everyone at the desk was friendly and helpful. The service was exceptional.
