Hyatt Place Toronto Airport

Air Canada put me up here free after a missed connection left me overnight in Toronto. My room was spotless, spacious, and had an incredibly comfortable bed. The hotel seems new or newly renovated. Check-in was fine, though, as another reviewer said, the service felt a little bizarre. Staff seemed unsure and out of place. It was also loud: I could hear reception music from my second-floor room, along with noises through the night, though it wasn't too bothersome. The shuttle was good, but shared with the Crowne Plaza next door. At Pearson I waited 30 minutes, then at least 75 people tried to board the same bus, and many were left waiting. The restaurant shut at 11pm, not 11.30 as its website said, though Jack Astors and Boston Pizza are nearby. I wouldn't choose to stay again for two reasons. First, my room adjoined another room, and the neighbor chose to sleep with their connecting door open. I couldn't deadbolt that door, only use a standard lock, which left me worried about security. Connecting rooms should have a double lock like the door to the main corridor. Second, the hotel is much farther from the airport than other reasonable options like Marriott and 4Points, with no clear price difference.

The staff were super friendly, and the beds were really comfortable with pillows that weren't flat. We didn't use the pool, though it looked nice. Breakfast cost $11 per person, but the buffet was good and the coffee was actually good too. I wasn't happy about paying $30 per night for parking since most hotels I stay at include it, and I assumed this one would too. At least they allow in-and-out access.

The staff were very helpful, and gracias. We were there for the convention at the congress centre, and our room was very clean when we arrived. The food and drinks were delicious. I also had a really enjoyable chat with the bartender between his work, and answered his questions about the convention. It was nice to speak face to face with senior staff about our convention experience instead of doing it online. We'll definitely come back when we're in the area, especially for convention time.

Jeran made my stay at Hyatt Toronto Airport much more enjoyable. She was friendly, professional, and positive every time we interacted, and she was attentive to details and ready to help. She's excellent at her job and represents the Hyatt team wonderfully. Thanks for making the stay so pleasant!
