After paying $300, I was told I also needed to e-transfer $500 to check in. That seemed sketchy and unnecessary when they already had my credit card. The whole check-in process felt insecure: before arriving, I was asked to send photos of my credit card and ID, then take a selfie once I got there. There’s no lobby or staff on site, either. I picked this over an Airbnb because I thought a hotel check-in would be simpler. The phone number for staff turned out to be someone’s personal cell. I called several times, got no answer, and couldn’t leave a voicemail. There was no reliable way to reach anyone. I also found out online that the rooms have shared bathrooms, which wasn’t what I expected or thought I’d paid for. When I tried to cancel and get my money back, the property stopped responding. I paid $356 and ended up booking elsewhere at a reputable hotel in town. For that price, a shared bathroom, no customer support, and a dubious payment process weren’t worth it. It was a stressful, disappointing experience. I regret choosing this place and will stick with known hotel chains in the future.

The location worked great for activities, and the room was comfortable. Our host was fantastic. We did have a small issue with the key, but it was sorted out right away.

We drove to Toronto on Friday evening, as we’d been told would be fine, but once we arrived we couldn’t get the booking information in the app and were locked out of our room. After nearly two hours trying to reach someone for help, we gave up and drove all the way home. I followed up and was told a refund would be processed. A week later, I checked again and was asked to wait longer. It’s been weeks, and there’s still no refund. I don’t believe they ever intended to send one. A deeply frustrating experience. They were happy to keep my money and showed zero concern for the guest experience.

The rooftop bar was a lovely spot to meet people or watch the sunset on my own. The staff welcomed me as soon as I arrived, and housekeeping was flawless every day. I stayed three nights and wish I’d booked longer.
