We had a smooth, enjoyable stay at Westlake Hotel and would gladly return. The Andy Suite worked perfectly for our group of five, with plenty of space, cleanliness, and comfort. The hotel is well cared for and close to local attractions. Self check-in was fast and easy, and the staff were friendly and helpful when we needed to change suites. They arranged it at no extra cost. We'd recommend the place.

A clean, private, cozy place, with great rooms, amenities, management, and location. I had a really special night here, and the experience couldn't have been better. 10/10.

We stayed in the Andy Suite, a furnished apartment with everything we needed to cook our favorite meals. It really felt like a home away from home. The area was peaceful, with lovely views, and the lake was only a five-minute walk away. Grocery stores were close, and right across the street was a great fresh fruit and vegetable shop, which we especially liked as healthy eaters. Service was excellent, with quick replies and a real effort to help. We appreciated the late checkout, which made the travel day easier and cut down the wait before our flight. We'd love to come back in summer. Highly recommended.

The bed was comfortable, which is the only reason this got two stars. I paid close to $400 and wouldn't pay more than $150 a night. I've stayed in places at that price that were ten times nicer, and I didn't feel safe in the area without my husband. Go somewhere else. The room was tiny, despite the Forest Room photos making it look spacious. The bathroom sink seemed badly installed, with large, sharp cracks on both sides. That's tacky for a place calling itself a boutique hotel. The Keurig had a two-foot cord, but there was no outlet for it, so using it would have meant moving it to the floor by the bed. We left without having the free coffee. The location is behind a male strip club, where loud music continued into the early morning. We could also hear thumping upstairs whenever someone walked around. The listing says parking is free, but that only applies to five tiny spaces that wouldn't fit our truck. Otherwise you have to pay to park in P parking. I wouldn't have used the lot behind the hotel anyway, since several sketchy people were lingering there. Check-in was cumbersome and unprofessional. I got a link to submit photos of both sides of my driver's license. The front uploaded, but the back wouldn't go through after three tries, so I emailed someone. They said the system had the pictures and not to worry. I also emailed the required selfie, and was told I'd get an entry code on arrival day. I was busy with clients on this work trip and didn't notice that no code came. At 10 pm I called, only to be told I hadn't finished the check-in link. Staff clearly weren't communicating with each other. After several emails explaining I'd already sent all my ID to a staff member, they finally sent the code reluctantly. I still don't understand the concern. At one point I was waiting for them to ask for my firstborn child. I read other reviews afterward and saw that I'm not the only one with these concerns. The problems were plentiful.

If you're deciding whether to stay at Westlake, read the negative reviews and the owners' replies carefully. They apologize and promise to fix things, but in my case the owner claimed my issues had been fixed just hours after checkout. That was an obvious lie, and I didn't appreciate it. One of my complaints was mold on the shower ceiling. The owner said it had been dealt with, yet a review from five months earlier also mentioned visible mold on that ceiling, despite the bathroom being freshly cleaned and not smelling moldy. It's unacceptable and gross. The rooms are dirty. Ownership knows, does little about it, and lies. Thanks for reading.
