Travelodge by Wyndham Toronto East

I called to ask if they had any rooms available, and the man who answered was extremely rude. He told me they had nothing tonight, for the rest of the year, or next year, then hung up. He sounded like a high school kid who didn’t care about his job. I’d never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Breakfast was a nice experience, and the room was clean with good WiFi and great amenities. I had a very nice stay. Good hotel, and I recommend it.

The staff were rude, the hotel was expensive and overpriced, and the operator didn’t seem honest. Housekeeping was bad too: the room ran out of toilet paper, and after cleaning, the housekeeper left none. The blankets were dirty, the furniture was old and beat up, and there was litter and old cigarette butts everywhere. The building is old, and there was a homeless shelter on site. It wasn’t near any shopping. Food was always cold, the WiFi was bad, and there was no ice, coffee, microwave, or movies. The shampoo was tiny, there was no conditioner, and personnel were disruptive.

We had both breakfast and dinner, and each menu had plenty of choices at good prices. The rooms were spacious, the beds incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom had nice fixtures, plush towels, and top quality toiletries. It’s a fantastic hotel for a family getaway, with a timeless, elegant feel and a relaxing setting.
