The owners were very nice, and the rooms were very clean, but far too expensive. The parking lot was pure ice and hadn’t been plowed or salted. The walls are paper thin, so every sound from next door carries. Someone staying in the room beside us seemed to be coming down off something, and was up all night slamming the door, pacing, moaning and yelling, knocking on the walls, and fiddling with the blinds. The door slams shook our whole room and kept me awake all night. I assume the owners live onsite, but I’m surprised they didn’t hear it. It was very late, and I didn’t want to wake them to ask for a different room, which was a big mistake on my part. In the morning, someone came to check on the person, and I could hear every word of their conversation. I was visiting family and stayed for one night. If you want quiet or any sleep at all, I wouldn’t recommend this motel unless you want to hear every movement next door.

Dipak is a courteous host who puts his customers first, and the rooms are clean with excellent service. The River Inn has a wonderful spot on the Trent River in Campbellford, Ontario. I’d definitely stay again.

Fishing was a highlight, both from the large dock on the property and out on the boat. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, and made sure we had what we needed. I spent the long weekend at Motel 6 in Campbellford, Ontario, and had an amazing time. The motel was clean and very nice, with hot showers and a spacious, comfortable room. The grounds felt more like a cottage getaway, with lots of outdoor space. We relaxed beneath several gazebos, swam in the beautiful pool, gathered by the huge fire pit, and enjoyed the BBQ area with great company. It was a lovely mix of comfort, relaxation, and fun. I’d highly recommend Motel 6 Campbellford and will be back for another weekend or longer.

We had to leave, it was so bad. Our room was 104. There were 12 bed bugs on the bed, dirt around it, stained and burned sheets, and handprints all over the headboards. The room smelled of cigarettes, and the sheets smelled like cleaner. I saw the owner smoking through the bathroom window in the next room. We were overcharged, and the prices seem to fluctuate. This was our second visit, and the price for a room with food went from $150 to $200 for two nights. The people were rude, and the guys smoked all the time. People around town had warned me about them while we were vacationing, but the pictures looked good. I’ve never heard one good thing. Waters edge is so much better. Zero rating. So disgusting.

The location and scenery are beautiful, the rooms are excellent, and the hosts are amazing. I’ll definitely be back!
