The pool is nice and the price is budget friendly. The Executive cottage was spacious, and the other cabins were fairly decent, though some A/C units didn’t work well. The games room sounds like a great idea, but without air conditioning or fans it was uncomfortable. There’s just one small dock shared by the cottages and people from the trailer park. It can get crowded, and with too many people there it didn’t feel very safe. The facilities staff member was helpful, though when I mentioned how dirty the outside of the windows and buildings were, he said, as the owners had told me, that he had his hands full looking after so many units. I’d recommend it if you don’t mind looking at trailers instead of the lake, since the view was blocked.

We spent the weekend at a friend’s trailer and loved the saltwater pool and view of the Trent River. Everyone we met was nice and respectful, especially about keeping their large dogs leashed.

This is clearly a fishing resort, and not a good fit for families with little kids who aren’t interested in fishing, even though it’s advertised for families. One listing showed a lovely sandy beach, but there isn’t one. My sister emailed twice in July and got no reply, then emailed again before we arrived after I checked Google view and saw there was no beach. Please do the right thing and refund her money. We can’t use this place with five little kids who love the beach, and you’re keeping over $1,000 because of a misleading photo that has since been removed.

The onsite manager was fantastic, friendly, professional, and easy to talk to. Our AirBNB host Paul was responsive and respectful, too. We stayed with our family in the three-bedroom cabins between cottage #2 and #3, and had a great visit with lots to do onsite. The pool was maintained daily and we all enjoyed it. There were also kayaks, a games room, a playground for the kids, and fire pits with firewood available to buy onsite. We had a 10/10 experience and would come back to Catchmore Resort. Thanks for having us!

We had a lovely two-night stay. Everything was clean, quiet, and well cared for, and the hosts made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend.
