Stanley's Resort

The cabin was nice, and there are both pontoon boats and fishing boats to choose from. There's even a diving board for swimming. Some light bulbs didn't work and the wifi could be better, but the place is a fun resort whether you're there for fishing or trains. A Canadian pacific train passes by every hour.

Clean, fully furnished cabins, and Dr. Rob and the crew go out of their way to put you on fish. I call him Dr. because he removes a hook from my hand every year. It's a great trip and experience!

The cottages are comfortable and come with fully furnished kitchens, which makes it easy to prepare the fish we catch each day. The drive to the resort was great, and the owners were very welcoming and family-friendly.

Fishing on Eagle Lake is phenomenal when the weather cooperates. The accommodations are first-rate and updated, and the dock hands are friendly and helpful. John Allan (spelling) has been a fantastic guide. This year he got me a 14lb lake trout, and in other years he's helped us catch trout, walleye, and northern Pike. Rob, the owner, always greets you with a smile and makes you feel at home. We've been going to Stanley's about every other year since 2006-2007, but missed 2020 and 2021 because of the pandemic. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it to anyone looking for a great place to stay and fish.
