We came in late without calling ahead and were welcomed. When I asked if there was anything to eat, Theresa offered to make wings and fries and brought them to our room. The food was great, and the freshly renovated room was clean. We slept well and plan to stay again on our next trip north. There are mountains across the parking lot, and you get your first views of Superior as you pull out. Highly recommend.

Sandy, Dan, and June, who left one-star reviews, must've had sticks up their you-know-whats, because there was absolutely nothing wrong with our stay! Our room was perfectly clean, smelled great, had soft linens and a super comfortable bed, and was nicely decorated. Honestly, what more could you ask for? The owner was attentive, helpful and quick to respond. You can tell they care about the place and their guests. The restaurant happened to be closed that day, but everything else more than made up for it. Hands down, the best motel I've stayed in!

I stopped for the night because the highway was closed just north of the area. Chris welcomed me warmly and got me settled right away. The room was beautiful, comfortable and spotless. And in late January, I even got to see the northern lights from the motel window! I'd absolutely recommend staying here. Winter or summer, it feels like a vacation.

The room was gorgeous, really clean and well kept, and smelled lovely. The beds were super comfortable too. Chris, the owner, was really nice. Highly recommend!

We needed a place to stay when the highway closed and were pleased the rates hadn't gone up. This lovely motel is right by the lake. Our room had a coffee machine and complimentary coffee, and the beds were very comfortable.
