AZUR Legacy Collection Hotel

If you’re after a boutique feel and a more European-style room, with quality on par with somewhere like a Fairmont, you’ll probably like this place. The room is compact but has what you need: lovely linens, a comfortable bed, a small desk, an armchair, and a side table. The bathroom is marvellous, with double sinks, luxury toiletries, lots of hot water, and a separate toilet area. The minibar is well stocked, and there’s a Nespresso machine too. The location is central and handy for SkyTrain, sea planes, and the Hullo ferry. Staff were extremely helpful and courteous. One small tip, if the blue light on the fast chargers by the bed bothers you, you can pop them out and turn them over to hide it.

The decor and ambience were stunning, and I loved Azur's signature scent. It was lovely without being overpowering, and I’d have it in my own home. The staff were kind and attentive. We arrived early to drop off the car before an event and they let us check in, which was amazing, though I know that won’t always be possible. Valet and parking were very easy to find, without the usual city confusion around one-way streets and alleys. We had a welcome drink voucher and were able to use it for a latte in the morning, which we appreciated. The room was beautiful, the bed and linens were incredibly comfortable, and the heated bathroom floor was a nice surprise. Once we worked out how to adjust the heat, we slept very well. The closet was a decent size for a one-night stay. Finding a hotel in Vancouver on a weekend, especially during events, can be hard. I booked this one on a whim through Expedia and it may become my go-to. Highly recommend, and I’ll book again.

The service was great, the hotel was quiet, and the bed was comfortable. For a quick city-center stay, the rooms are spacious, immaculate, and luxurious. I liked the bathrooms and the L'Occitane products, though the scent isn’t my favorite. There isn’t much closet space or room for bags for two people, though it would be fine for one guest. One other issue: the small lobby includes a restaurant-bar with a seafood-heavy menu. For about six hours each evening, a strong, vile seafood smell fills the lobby and elevators. I’m not sure whether the hotel runs the restaurant or leases it out, but being hit by that odor in the hotel lobby is pretty disgusting, and an interesting business choice.

After a full day of travel, I got the best sleep in that incredibly comfortable bed. I was visiting Canada for the first time and chose this beautiful boutique hotel because it looked luxurious and was exactly what I wanted. The rooms were spotless and well maintained. Staff were attentive and made sure I had everything I needed. Special thanks to Yasna and the front desk team for their warm smiles and kindness. They made it feel like a home away from home.
