Blue Horizon

We stayed three nights before boarding our cruise ship. The hotel is very central, and our clean, functional room was upgraded to level 29, with great city and ocean views. I would have liked some crockery and cutlery for snacks while taking in the view. We paid about $500 CAD a night, which certainly isn't cheap, though Canada is expensive.

I was in town for a two night work trip. The room was roomy and clean, and the central location was great. The price was decent too. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and letting me check in early was awesome. They also offered to hold my luggage if the room wasn't ready. I'd recommend it.

The balcony was a lovely surprise, and the rooms were spacious with comfortable beds. Everything was spotlessly clean, thanks to the staff who were always around with supplies. They were attentive and nice. The showers and hot tub get super hot, which I loved. Great location with tons of restaurants nearby.

Right on Robson street, the hotel has restaurants all around it within a 10 minute walk. Stanley Park is about a 15 minute walk, and there's a bus stop outside, including the shuttle to Capilano Bridge. The airport train station is a 15 minute walk, which may be awkward with lots of luggage. Still, the location and value are hard to beat, and I'd happily return to the Blue Horizon Hotel. I stayed two nights after my Whistler ski trip, and it made a great base for exploring downtown Vancouver. My room was surprisingly large, the bed was comfortable, and floor 23 was quiet. I slept peacefully both nights. I paid a reasonable tiered fee for early check in because I arrived at noon. The earlier you want to check in, the more it costs, but I liked having the option instead of just hoping for luck.
