Hotel Blu Vancouver

We stayed in June for one night and were really happy with our choice. The room was clean and very comfortable, the lobby looked lovely, and reception kindly let us check in early. The view wasn't much, but we didn't mind for a one-night visit. The glass shower wall was unusual and kind of interesting. We also enjoyed the clean pool, hot tub, and sauna, plus the variety of restaurants within walking distance and the short trip to the cruise port. We wished we had more time. I'd recommend Hotel Blu, though I can't speak to breakfast or parking since we didn't use either.

I wasn't staying at the hotel, but I stopped by the lobby and was impressed by the service. Shayan and Gayian were so helpful and went out of their way to assist me. Their professionalism and kindness left a great impression. If I stay in downtown Vancouver, this would be my first choice. I highly recommend it based on the service I received.

This was our third stay at Hotel Blu, and the team continues to impress us. Our king room was spacious and clean, and smelled wonderful when we walked in, thanks to the aromatherapy already running. Check-in was easy, with pleasant, helpful staff. There are lots of thoughtful extras: coffee and tea in the room, fresh apples in the lobby, and welcome toiletries delivered to our room. Room service breakfast is excellent too, especially the mango chia pudding. Highly recommend.

The clean rooms and comfortable beds were definite positives, and we liked the hot tub and sauna. The pool, though, was chilly and short on seating. Our two-queen room felt cramped compared with the photos, with an awkwardly placed bathroom door and little room for bags or shoes. Things like Dyson hair dryers and some other furnishings seem to be available only in certain rooms. The apples around the hotel were a delicious treat. Still, the stay didn't match the luxury and high ratings we expected from the website and reviews, and I couldn't see why it's among Vancouver's top-rated hotels. The location didn't feel central to much, unless you're going to a sports event or concert. There weren't any major problems, but I'd probably stay elsewhere next time. If you do book, a suite or larger room seems like the better option.
