Maple Beach Bed & Breakfast

The old house has a nice charm, and the place was clean and quiet. My room had its own bathroom, and the bed was comfortable. It felt casual and was a great deal for the price. Nothing fancy, though. I was there for two nights and didn't book the breakfast, so I can't speak to that. The location is hard to beat.

My parents stayed here for four days and had an uncomfortable bed. They didn't meet anyone, and there was no service. They had to return to France early because of the virus, but Patricia wouldn't refund the two unused nights. She said she'd taken a risk by welcoming French people into her B&B. That wasn't professional. We don't recommend staying here, and my parents won't book it again if they return to Vancouver.

We had reservations for July, but then COVID hit and Canada was closed to us. We cancelled three months ahead and were still refused a refund. That gave them plenty of time to rebook, and I'm sure those dates have been booked by now. They were greedy about it. When we eventually make it to Vancouver, my wife and I definitely won't stay here.

I only stopped by briefly to see family who were staying there. The property and garden were beautiful. The basement stairs felt a little steep, and the lighting could have been brighter.
