Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown

The staff are what really set this hotel apart. People throughout the property were engaged, friendly, and quick to help. A security staff member saw me struggling toward the elevator with our bags and crossed the lobby to press the button. At the front desk, they noticed we had a child and offered a package with toys and crayons. The event catering team was efficient and helpful, and everyone smiled, acknowledged us, and checked if we needed anything. That kind of consistent service feels like a real part of the hotel’s culture. The rooms are well appointed and in line with other four star city hotels. Even in a basic room we had a great view. The pool was bigger than usual, and the hot tub, sauna, steam room, and somewhat larger, better equipped fitness centre were much appreciated. We also got complimentary water and coffee in the room each day, unlike places that charge for those small water bottles. It stands out in lots of little ways, and we’d certainly recommend it.

Everyone was kind and welcoming, and the service was wonderful. I had fish and chips through room service and wow, the food was excellent. My room was tiny, but cozy and clean. It’s also close to the convention centre and shops, which makes this a great pick for a short visit or business trip. I’d stay again.

The friendly front desk staff were the one bright spot for us. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel based on the room we got: it was dated and a huge disappointment for our anniversary, especially after the photos of renovated rooms gave me the wrong impression. As a loyal Marriott member, I was “upgraded” to Floor 18, but was told I couldn’t switch because none of the floors below 18 had been updated either. If our booking hadn’t been nonrefundable, I would have gone somewhere else. The room quality just doesn’t justify the price. I’d avoid staying unless you can be sure you’ll get a renovated room.

The conference rooms were a real plus, bright and spacious, with windows bringing in daylight throughout the day. Vancouver’s lovely weather also gave our team a nice setting to enjoy the city once the sessions ended. I’ve stayed at the Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle several times, and hosting our company’s annual conference here reminded me why I return. The staff were responsive and proactive, and clearly cared about keeping everything running smoothly. The kitchen team also went out of their way to accommodate vegan and plant-based attendees. Those menu changes aren’t always a given, and they managed them seamlessly while keeping the food varied and good quality. The menu worked well for a large group with different tastes. If you’re organizing a corporate event in Vancouver, this is the property to book.
