The Westin Bayshore, Vancouver

The room was spacious, clean, and in very good condition, with a nice view over the harbor. I spent one night here in January and really enjoyed it. The waterfront walk to the city center was lovely, and it’s within walking distance. There’s a restaurant and bar in the hotel. The restaurant had a nice range of dishes, and I remember the cocktails being a good selection too. They were presented in a travel book style, which was a pretty cool idea. It took roughly 20min by car to reach the airport, which was totally fine. I’d definitely book here again next time I’m back in Vancouver. Really nice hotel, absolutely recommend.

The outdoor pool and sauna were the best parts of the hotel, and the location is great. Our room in the “updated” tower was disappointing, though it didn’t seem very updated. We had a king room with harbour and mountain views, but there wasn’t even a microwave. The desk was placed in front of the window, blocking that great view.

The pool and gym had a relaxing, spa-like feel, and the hotel itself is beautiful. We stayed on the second floor in a pool-facing room, which worked out well. The convention area was easy to reach by stairs, so we avoided busy elevator waits. Our room was clean, well maintained, and surprisingly nice for an older room. Service was excellent, from the warm welcome by the bell staff to how smoothly they handled our requests for a microwave, cutlery, extra towels, and Peloton studio access. We were there for a weekend dance convention with a group. The hotel restaurant and coffee bar are quite expensive, so we brought our own food and snacks. Plenty of fast-food and restaurant options are also an easy walk away.

Our room was clean and nice, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. We chose a room without a view, and boy, it really had no view 🤣, just a small inner courtyard. It didn’t matter to us, though. This was our first stay at the Westin Bayshore, and we had a very nice time. It’s a lovely hotel, but it’s really only close to Stanley Park and the convention centre. Places like The Vogue are about a 30 minute walk. I’d absolutely stay here again.
