The Castle at Swan Lake

We use The Castle at Swan Lake for convenience on road trips, and earlier stays have been great. This visit wasn't ideal because of the room. The terrace at the back looked very nice, but we could hear every movement from the person upstairs. The shower had no water pressure, and the floors could have been cleaner.

The room is big, and we love having the kitchenette. There's also a roomy living room, though the TV feels a little small for it. The balcony faces the lake, but the highway is there too. We loved the king bed, with plenty of space on both sides, and the sheets and pillows were high quality. We parked right outside. If you're in the second floor or upper building, there's overflow parking around back. In summer we enjoyed the outdoor pool. This time the hot tub was only warm at first, but they fixed it as soon as we asked. It was clean, and pool towels are in the room by the pool. The bathtub is nice and the shower head is great. Very good value for the cost.

The pool deck felt private and beautiful, and we spent a lot of time there. The pool was warm, and both it and the hot tub were clean. Our balcony faced the lake, though the busy highway and train tracks between us and the water were my one real drawback. Inside, the suite had a roomy living area, kitchenette, and a king bed with good space on both sides. The sheets and pillows were noticeably nice. I do wish the sleeping area had heavier curtains to block more light. Parking was right outside, with extra spaces up behind the building. A really nice stay, and worth $150.

It was such a relief to find a decent place close to my family. The room suited me, with a kitchenette, a sitting area with a TV, and a separate bedroom. The other guests were friendly and respectful, too. I accidentally broke a cup and they didn't charge me, and they even kept the hot tub open late for me.
