The convenient location, with an A&W within walking distance, was a plus. Breakfast was decent, had a good range of choices, and the dining area was clean. We asked about a late checkout because we have two small children and live hours from Wainwright, but were told it isn’t available on weekends. This was our second stay, and probably our last. The property used to be the Ramada before it became Canalta. We had a great experience on our first visit, when it was still Ramada, but this recent stay disappointed us. The room felt stale and dusty as soon as I walked in. I’m allergic to dust mites, and my eyes itched and my throat felt uncomfortable all night, so I had to take antihistamines. We travel often and stay in many hotels, and I’ve never had this happen before. We won’t be coming back.
