The breakfast was good, eggs, sausage, and waffles. Still, I won't come back. We paid $177, and basic amenities and cleaning were lacking. The TV remote didn't work, even after we got batteries from the front desk, and they had no spare remote. The shower was filthy, with other people's hair and soap scum around it, and there was a handprint on the wall above the headboard. Basic cleaning standards just weren't there.

Lubna was incredible. She was the sweetest woman at the front desk, made check-in easy, and was so helpful. My daughter and I were visiting a college, and when my other daughter joined us, Lubna had no issue with three of us staying instead of two. She also let us stay a bit later because of car trouble. The bathroom was a little run down, and the hot tub wasn't hot at all. But the breakfast was really good, the beds were comfy, we slept well, and the pool was fun. I'd stay again for the service alone. Thank you for everything, Lubna.

It felt unsafe and terribly run down. The pool was always empty because it looked so dirty and gross, and there were no benches outside. Breakfast ends at 9 and was very cramped, and the coffee gets packed away at 9 too. The showers had low pressure, and my bathtub and sink were dirty. The parking lot was very dark, and the vending machine prices were astronomical. It's a long walk to Tim's and a basic pizza place, in an industrial area.

I was charged $185 after checkout for blood stains on the towels and sheet, which the hotel said it couldn't remove. We had only stayed from about 8 PM to 8 AM, and the stains were fresh from those few hours. It's hard to believe a professional hotel laundry service couldn't wash them out. Nothing was broken, damaged, or missing, and the room was otherwise left in normal condition. Charging $185 for washable stains feels unreasonable and like an abuse of the deposit policy. The room itself cost $235 for the night, already quite expensive. At check-in, the hotel also took a $200 safety deposit, which we were told would be returned if nothing was damaged or missing. For me, $185 is a significant amount, especially after paying $235 for one night. I've stayed in many hotels and never had anything like this happen. This charge is unacceptable, and I'm very disappointed and frustrated with how it was handled. I hope management reviews it and considers a refund. If they don't review and resolve it, I'll have to dispute the charge with my credit card and file a formal complaint with Consumer Protection Ontario.
