About this property

A very nice place to stay for a reasonable price - hotel "Dragon's Den Hotel" is located in Watson Lake. This hotel is located in the city center. In the morning, have a cup of coffee while looking at the city from the window. Location

The room was rough, and freezing cold. The only heat was an electric space heater that tripped the circuit breaker. There aren’t many options in town, and most of the other reviews are pretty accurate.

This was a great choice for one night. The room was older but properly maintained, with a fan and heater, and the beds were comfy and smelled nice. The lady who checked us in was very nice and even showed us where the room was. Parking was plentiful. It wasn’t cheap, but none of the hotels in town have cheap rooms. There are only a very few hotels in town, so having availability and being allowed to bring dogs was really important to us.

PET FRIENDLY!! The hotel was well looked after, and the people and service were extremely nice. I had a good stay and the pricing was very good. I did have a nighttime battle with a spruce beetle. No idea how it got in since the door stayed shut, but waking up to it was startling. I’ll be returning.

Dragon’s Den gave us what we needed, a clean place to rest for the night, and it’s pet friendly. If you’re staying here, you probably know you’re getting a motel, and the super negative reviews seem to expect a 5 star resort. The area outside seemed quiet, and the staff we spoke with at Andrea’s hotel when we checked in were helpful and friendly. It’s expensive for a somewhat rundown motel, but there aren’t many other options, so places around here can pretty much name their price. The WiFi worked fairly well, cable TV helped pass the time, there was ample parking, and they gave us a free cookie at check in. On the downside, the building’s exterior was unkempt, and the premises felt unmanaged. The Dragon’s Den lobby and restaurant were closed when we arrived, so we had to check in at Andrea’s, four buildings over. The furniture and bedding were outdated. A few easy improvements would help: blackout curtains for the long summer days, towel hooks and newer linens in the bathrooms, and a small shared area with a microwave and kettle for heating meals or instant noodles if the lobby won’t be in use.
