River Mist INN

We only stayed briefly. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, and said they were renovating rooms, so this cute little motel could be very nice once that work is done. Our room, though, looked nothing like the website photo. It was very dark, felt unclean, and had a strong, overwhelming smell. There were cigarette burns in the carpet. I took a picture and showed it to the front desk because a sign said smoking in the room would mean a fine.

I stayed one night in Room 113 and got bed bug bites all over my arm and neck. It was absolutely horrible. The owner said he had a pest control certificate, but a piece of paper doesn’t help when there are clearly bed bugs in the rooms.

The staff were so welcoming, and check-in was easy. I found the room clean and quiet, with everything I needed for a good night's rest. It’s a cozy little motel with a convenient location and affordable rates, and they clearly take pride in it. That warm, personal touch made this a great stay. I’ll definitely come back.

They put about five bed covers on the beds, like that would help. I promise this place has bed bugs. The other day I had to pick up my grandson early because he was freaking out about it. He has pictures and videos, but they deny it and lie. Don’t believe me? Go see for yourself.
