After a long day, this was a comfortable place to unwind. The room was clean and well maintained, and the staff were friendly. Check-in went quickly and smoothly. I had a great one-night stay and would gladly come back. Highly recommend the hotel.

The loft suite was spacious and cozy, and a great place to come back to after long ski days. I also liked the private rooftop. It rained during my stay, but in clear weather I can picture having morning coffee out there. The cookies at check-in were a nice little extra. There was a lot of noise, though. The hotel restaurant played loud music until around 11 pm, so after a full day on the slopes, the bass-heavy beats made it hard to relax. Late-night food spots and clubs are nearby too, with plenty of noise from people outside. If you’re fine with a lively atmosphere, it’s a great place; just know it isn’t especially quiet.

The room was a decent size and the bed was great, but cleanliness was minimal. The walls, floors, and doors were dirty, with chips and dings everywhere, ripped carpet, and mismatched, chipped dishes that didn’t look intentionally quirky. The finishing felt amateur and incomplete: a crooked wall outlet, a questionable microwave shelf, an outlet hanging out of the wall, and extension cords used instead of plugging directly into the wall. The balcony could be a nice outdoor space, but it was neglected and had lots of weeds. Getting help at the front desk took patience. We used the QR code as instructed to start a text thread, but after 45 minutes there was still no reply. Calling the number on the key envelope went to voicemail. For almost $800 for just two nights, I expected a lot better. My husband had planned a lovely birthday weekend in Whistler for me. When the original hotel had no availability, they sent him to Adara. The location is great, right in the village. Important update: although the room didn’t meet expectations and apparently needs renovations, the manager has been very accommodating about compensation. It seems we were targeted by a scam involving the inflated room charge, outside the hotel’s control or knowledge. Rhys Davies, General Manager: Adara Hotel, went above and beyond to make sure we received the refund he promised. Because of his care and honest feedback about the room, I’ve changed my review to 5 stars overall and 2 for the room. Hopefully, when we return to Whistler this summer, we’ll see improvements if we stay here again.

The duplex room design, equipped bar area, and little balcony were all things I loved. There’s a handy ski equipment room and an open-air hot pool for relaxing after skiing. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and generously extended our parking time so we could arrive early and leave late, giving us two full days of skiing. The location is great, with easy access to the lifts and village shops. I highly recommend it for a Whistler ski trip.

After skiing, the chocolate chip cookies in the lobby at 4 pm each day were delicious. The hotel is clearly run very well, with clean spaces and staff who are friendly and accommodating. It also has a well-kept, relaxing hot tub and a convenient location. I had a wonderful stay at the Adara and would highly recommend it. I hope to return on my next visit to whistler!
