The most frustrating part was dealing with management. They were confrontational, and “This is our policy” felt like an excuse for being cheap and finding other ways to make money. We were very disappointed, and nothing was done to make things right after our stay (9/21-9/27 room 102). Management, please do something about this. P.S. Whistler is amazing, though. The place is old and outdated, but that wasn’t even the main problem. It felt like they charged extra for everything while offering very little to make the stay comfortable. For a whole week, we got two tiny bars of soap. Other hotels and motels, even the cheapest ones, provide little bottles of shampoo, conditioner and lotion. We were given two coffee pods for the first morning, then had to buy more. I’ve never had that happen elsewhere, except at a hostel, and the main hostel in Whistler offers more amenities. There were warning notes about an ANT PROBLEM and COCKROACH traps on the floor. The bed was FULL size for two people. The dishes and kitchenware were dirty and sparse, and necessities like a CUTTING BOARD were missing. I didn’t care about the old, dirty carpet, but the weird, unprofessional notes trying to call it character just made the lack of investment more obvious. Parking was a mess. We expected to pay per night, but someone else was in our assigned spot when we arrived. In summer, bringing a bike means paying $2/PER BIKE PER DAY for a tiny, NOT SECURE storage area where notes say not to lock bikes to anything. That’s ridiculous. This is the most outdated hotel in the area, and the only one charging for bike storage. I wouldn’t be surprised if they charged for ski storage in winter too. Timeshare guests exchanging points should spend more for a better stay elsewhere. If you’re not using a timeshare, pay a bit more for full amenities, peace of mind and no hidden charges.

It’s cozy, with a full kitchen, and you can walk to anywhere in the village. The rooms aren’t very soundproof, so they provide complimentary earplugs.

We were a little concerned by the comments about stairs and no lifts, but once we arrived, the stairs seemed easy and it wasn’t an issue. You do hear people enjoying Whistler’s party vibe, though it didn’t bother us much, and earplugs are an easy fix. We loved our stay. The location is fantastic, close to lifts, restaurants, shops and entertainment. It was a fun visit, and we’ll be back. ❤️❤️

The mattresses are hard and worn out, and you can feel every spring. Maybe that’s considered fine in Canada and the USA, but we’re in North America, after all. The overpriced service comes with a smile at this old motel, and everyone puts on a fake grin like they’re acting out how nice everything is. 🤣🤣 The staff felt completely unprofessional. The young guys spoke quickly and quietly with Australian accents, so I had to ask them to repeat themselves several times. The front desk guy answered, but it felt like I was interrupting his phone time. Parking was $32 per day. I haven’t seen such “nice” service for that much money. This place is completely OVERRATED, OVERPRICED, OUTDATED, and not worth staying at. The floors creak, so if you or the next-door neighbor gets up to use the toilet at night, everyone on the floor hears the footsteps and then the flush. 🤯 In my opinion, I’ll never come back. Whistler is an OK place, but not this godforsaken one.
