The parking garage is awful, with tiny spaces and tight turns, even though the location is good. Instead of staff, everything relies on key codes. You need a 12-digit code to enter the building, garage, stairs, and even to get back in from the pool. They time out so quickly that getting inside in the cold in a bathing suit is stressful. It’s just as frustrating when you’re carrying all your ski gear and have to enter a code for the locker room itself, after already using one at the outside door. There’s no thought for the guest experience.

The garden-level rooms are 😍, and the rooms are clean and nicely stocked. The pool, hot tub, and sauna are nice too.

I stayed here from 2023.12.31 to 2024.1.2, and problems started as soon as I arrived. There’s no front desk at the hotel, so you have to drive 4 kilometers away to check in. It was a hassle, and once back at the hotel I couldn’t find any staff or get help. There were two adults and two children in our group, but we were given only one quilt and our concerns were ignored. The living room fireplace wouldn’t go out completely. Imagine trying to sleep with five candles beside you. We were on the first floor, and people kept running and jumping upstairs at 9:30 at night. Customer service said nothing could be done. For various reasons I caught a cold two days later and had two nights of insomnia. The cleaning charge was the most shocking part. I had already paid 150 Canadian dollars at check-in, but two days after checkout the hotel charged another 125 Canadian dollars, apparently because I hadn’t taken out the trash. Expecting that from guests after charging a cleaning fee seems crazy. I think they might as well just grab the money! This is definitely the most shameless hotel I’ve stayed in. Everyone should be careful with this place.

We got early check-in, which was nice, and stayed in a large two-bedroom condo. The room felt comfortable and had plenty of space, with a fully stocked kitchen and an in-room laundry machine as a nice extra. The hot tub was really big and nice, though it was cold getting into it. Parking was tight.

The room was fine, clean and functional, though not especially new. I stayed in room 113, which was noisy because it’s beside the road. The bed was awful, counter-height and unstable, so sleeping on what felt like a wobbly mushroom was really uncomfortable. The pillows were huge too.
