Stoney Creek Northstar by Whistler Premier

There’s plenty to walk to just across the road, including shops, food outlets, and restaurants in a fully developed village. The apartment is part of the old Olympic Village accommodation in Whistler and was fantastic for our stay. Guests share a heated pool that’s a decent size, open from 9am to 10pm. There’s ample underground parking, with one guaranteed space per apartment. The area has a noise restriction from 10pm to 6am.

We shared a place with family and loved the experience, we’ll be back. There was lots to explore and try in the villages, though it meant a lot of walking around. Our helicopter ride was called off because of the weather, so maybe next time. Parking was secure and easy, and the rules seemed reasonable.

We’ve had issues with a few of the three units we stayed in around the same time, even though Whistler itself is always so nice. On our January 2025 stay, the bed frame broke completely on the first night. After 12 hours of travel, I had to take it apart and remove it so I could sleep. The door code was wrong when we arrived, the upstairs TV didn’t work properly, and the blinds were partly broken. The intact ones were dirty with Cheeto fingers. The properties need serious TLC, and it feels like Whiskey Jack only addresses things once they break, leaving you to hope it doesn’t happen during your stay. As owners, that’s tough to deal with, and in its current condition I can’t recommend staying with Whiskey Jack. I hope our next visit goes better. We had a comfortable week here with two adults and teens, and the pool and hot tub were really nice. You can walk to a grocery store, Tim Hortons, McDonald, and restaurants in the village, so there’s no need for a car. The one drawback is that there are no representatives onsite. You have to call or drive about 10 minutes to their nearby “satellite” office, where the staff are very nice and helpful. We’d definitely stay again and recommend it to friends and family.
