The Alpenglow by MountainView Accommodation

The fireplace and heating worked great in my queen studio. I was delighted to arrive to a balcony covered in snow and make a little snow-me, a highlight for someone from a place without much snow. I also had no trouble with the hot water temperature, unlike at quite a few other places I've stayed in Canada.

The balconies are great whichever room you end up with, and the staff were friendly. Parking costs money beneath the building, while the central lots are cheaper and a pleasant five-minute walk away. It's a timeshare setup, so individual owners furnish and decorate the rooms differently. The check-in staff know which rooms are better, so be nice to them.

The outdoor pool and hot tub were nice highlights, and the lobby and shared spaces have recently been renovated, so they're modern and clean. Parking spaces are snug, but they're near the elevator. The front desk staff were friendly and knew lots of good places in Whistler. Alpenglow Lodge is right in the heart of Whistler Village, on Main Street behind the public library. The building's units are individually run holiday rentals, and you can find them on most short-term rental sites. I'd highly recommend staying here.

My room felt like a little loft, with a comfortable bed and fireplace, plus its own kitchen, closet, and bathroom with a bathtub. It's really close to the bus station. There's a pool and jacuzzi too, though we didn't have enough time to use them. They looked great. Excellent place!
