Blackcomb Springs Suites by CLIQUE

My wife and I booked three nights at Blackcomb Springs Suites, January 29 to February 1, 2026. On the second night, at about 9:30 pm, we were woken by a hotel staff member opening our door and trying to enter. The interior safety latch stopped him from coming all the way in. I got out of bed and ran to the door. He apologized and said he'd been told to deliver a blanket. We hadn't asked for one, so it was clear there had been an internal error. The incident was alarming and distressing. Without the latch, a staff member would have entered while we were asleep. This was a serious breach of guest safety and security. I called the front desk right away. The supervisor or manager on duty apologized, but said Guest Services Manager Benjamin Jacques wouldn't be available until 9:00 am the next morning and would be better able to address it. The next day, I spoke to Mr. Jacques by phone. I told him that after this incident we no longer felt safe or comfortable staying, and would check out early and find somewhere else for Saturday night. I said the incident had fundamentally disrupted our stay and we expected a full refund so we could make other arrangements. He first offered no refund for the first night, 50% back for the night of the incident, and a full refund for the third night. I declined and said a full refund was the only acceptable resolution given the severity of the security breach. After more discussion, Mr. Jacques agreed to refund the full stay. We checked out based on that commitment. But after we left, he didn't honor it. Only a partial refund was processed, covering the incident night and the unused final night. We're now escalating the matter and posting this public review to document what happened.

The hotel is well maintained, and the rooms were clean and cared for. Staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, and the pool was warm enough even on a cool day. There's a free shuttle to the Village, since the hotel is a bit far out. You can also hike or ski from Blackcomb right behind the hotel.

The room had all the kitchen tools and utensils we could need, and the beds, towels, and shower were really cozy. It was clean, with a Nordic but modern feel. The hotel is near Whistler Village, and the free shuttle bus makes getting there and back convenient.

I've been coming every year around my birthday at the end of May, and it's always lovely. It's usually quieter then, which I really like. The rooms are nice and clean, and we especially enjoy the outdoor hot tub and pool. Upper Village is a quick walk away. Already looking forward to next year's visit.
