For the price, it was a decent hotel, though I’ve stayed at nearby places I liked better. The rooms were very clean, the shower was nice, and there was a Nespresso machine. But the bed was far too soft and had no support, so I had the worst sleep of my life. The bedding smelled strongly of bleach, too. In the morning I asked for cream and a couple of coffee pods. They said they’d bring them up, then forgot about us. We checked out a couple of hours later.

Breakfast was the one letdown: our food took more than an hour, and some of it arrived cold. The restaurant staff seemed overwhelmed but were doing their best, so management should make sure there’s enough coverage when it’s busy. Everything else about our bachelorette weekend stay was really positive. Our room was clean, modern, quiet, and well kept, with a comfortable bed, and the staff were consistently welcoming and helpful. We arrived a couple of hours before check-in and the room was already ready, which was a huge help after a long drive. The hotel is central in Windsor, just steps from the U.S. border. It took us about 20 minutes to reach Little Caesars Arena, border crossing included. I’d happily stay again and hope the restaurant service improves.

The parking situation cost me thousands. The lot they provide is an unmonitored municipal lot, so your car is exposed to smash-and-grab theft. Hilton avoids liability with a sign on the wall. It’s unbelievable that a premium hotel brand has no safe plan for guests’ vehicles. This hotel doesn’t actually have parking.

After 18 hours of travel with the kids, we arrived late as walk-ins after leaving another hotel that hadn’t provided what we’d requested. The staff here were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. They arranged an upgrade the next day to the room size we needed, let the kids order snacks when they wanted, and did a lot to help us feel comfortable. We had a great dinner at the River Room restaurant, and the Old Fashioned was top-notch. The rooms were spotless, the shower was huge, and the view of Detroit and the icebreaker ships was stunning. Once our house was available, they let us end the reservation early without a penalty. We’re locals and will be back for staycations, and we’ll recommend it to visiting friends and family.

We went for a little one-day getaway with the kids. The room was lovely and clean, the view was great, and the price wasn’t too bad. The amenities were nice too, including a good gym, a nice pool, and a restaurant inside. Being so close to the tunnel puts you right in Windsor’s centre, with most things nearby, especially bars.
