Lexington Inn & Suites Windsor

Bad weather stopped me from travelling on the day I was supposed to arrive, and Ketul at the front desk handled my last-minute cancellation with kindness and professionalism. The location was perfect for two very important events I needed to attend, and the price was excellent. After the way I was treated on such a difficult day, this will be my first choice next time I'm in the Windsor area.

Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable, though the hotel is older. When we first walked in, the bleach smell was overpowering, but at least it gave the impression the room had been cleaned. The concierge wasn't especially friendly or welcoming, but he promptly corrected the mistake when he gave us a double room instead of a queen. Breakfast was okay, with cereal, bagels, yogurt, fruit, coffee, and juice. For a quick overnight, it was good. I wouldn't stay longer than a day, since you get what you pay for.

For the price and amenities, I'd stay again. I was there for one night and arrived late. The room was tidy, with comfortable beds, a mini fridge, and a microwave. Breakfast was heavy on carbs, but I really just wanted good coffee. The bathroom could use some updating, with a couple of broken floor tiles.

The rooms were tidy and clean, and the staff courteous and helpful. It's close to the airport. One idea for the future: offer recycling for paper and returnable bottles, and compost for breakfast scraps like banana peels and apple cores near reception. It would also be nice to have the option to skip daily room cleaning and just swap towels. 👌
