The music was way too loud.

We booked through Priceline, which somehow gives this place a 3-star rating. That's laughable. The photos online make the grungy dump look halfway decent, thanks to the photographer, but it looks nothing like them in person. From outside, you'd never guess it was meant to be a hotel. After reading other guests' accounts when we arrived, we knew we weren't staying. The units across from the registration building looked rundown and damaged, almost as if they'd been broken into. The whole property felt sketchy and neglected, more like a shabby motel than anything close to a 3-star hotel.

The free breakfast and handy location on Portage Ave were the best parts. The restaurant waitress was super friendly and liked chatting with the guests. The room was tiny and missing basics I expect in a hotel, like a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. It felt hot and stuffy even though it was only 19 degrees outside. The AC didn't seem to work, so I opened the window. It did the job for an overnight stay, but I wasn't impressed overall.

It was an average stay. The room was basic but clean, though the surroundings were noisy. There weren't enough accessible charging ports, and the place needs renovation.
