We came back last weekend for the fourth or fifth time, and it's still a great place to stay. My wife and I first visited around four decades ago for our first anniversary. It's a historic treasure in downtown Wolfville with a great ambience. We liked it very much then and still do.

The back rooms were awful, and the bathroom felt like a dorm. In the morning, nobody even asked whether we'd made it through the night. They just gave us the bill. At over $200 a night, I'd expect cotton sheets. My husband and I came for one night expecting a cozy B&B and a romantic break, but it turned into the worst night we've ever had. The bed had cheap polyester microfiber sheets under another non-breathable polyester blanket. I had to sleep on a bath towel, and my husband got up at 3 a.m. and went for a walk because he couldn't lie down. I'd expect that at a cheap Airbnb, not a hotel. This stay still haunts me. We're still recovering from the polyester incident of 2025. Guests, beware.

The staff were so kind, and the place was lovely enough that I kept wandering around the building to see more. My fiancé surprised me with a birthday stay, and both the interior and exterior were beautiful. The property and gardens were nice to walk around, and it was so quiet, which made for a relaxing break from the city. After our schedule suddenly changed following checkout, we had to come back, and they offered us a discounted stay in the executive suite. I'd love to return.

The food was amazing, and I'd highly recommend the gourmet dinner option as part of your stay, depending on the day. There isn't an elevator, as everyone knows, but aside from that, this place was a beautiful find. The rooms weren't perfect, though they had plenty of charm and the amenities travelers look for, plus more. No coffee option in the room was the one thing missing. There are queen beds only, and ours was very clean and comfortable. I'd definitely stay again.

We stayed two nights in Perth Cottage, and it was just what we'd hoped for and more. Private, cozy, and romantic. On our first evening, we ate at the Inn and enjoyed excellent service, atmosphere, and food, with super friendly staff. Blomidon will be our go-to whenever we visit the Valley. Thank you! Sincerely, Philip & Michele.
