We checked out after just one night. The communication was extremely difficult since the staff spoke French, apart from one manager who knew a little English. The WiFi barely worked, and we could only send WhatsApp texts now and then, with no reliable email. Outside, loud roadworks with huge machines made the hotel shake, and a bar party went on until the early hours, so my colleague and I got little sleep. My colleague's bed was lumpy, sunken, and uncomfortable, though mine was OK. The food was inedible for meat eaters, let alone us vegetarians. Hamburgers left us feeling queasy, and breakfast was stale white break and rice. The Ngokaf isn't a suitable hotel for English business travelers.

The rooms are clean and spacious, with an air conditioner, fridge, and kettle. The location is great, the food is fresh, and the staff are very friendly.
