Grand Hotel de Kintele

The staff were kind and courteous, and everyone smiled at us. General Manager Mr Chafik was especially kind and made us feel welcome. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. There’s a shared area where I could work with good wifi. The food was tasty and changed every day. Garan Hotel de kentele felt cozy and was kept clean, making it an ideal place to rest and unwind. I'd definitely come again!

The facilities are very nice, and the staff are friendly. There’s a huge amount of space, though a few things were missing: they often forgot to leave a bottle of water in my room, and there were no slippers or robe in the bathroom. My first restaurant experience wasn't great either, with several mistakes. I learned the hotel is new, so hopefully they'll learn and improve over time.

I was shocked by what I believe were serious overcharges. My bill included at least 400,000 Xfa more than my stay should have cost, including six burgers, four spaghetti dishes, two beers, six juices, and much more. I was there alone, yet they charged me for pool passes for two adults and two children, about $100 USD, after family members were invited to swim under my stay. I worry that restaurant cash payments may sometimes be charged to another guest's room. I was in a rush to catch my flight, so I couldn't go through each restaurant and pool charge, but I wanted to find out which waiter had put them on my room. I've reported this to my host and hope they investigate. Check your bill the day before you leave so there's time to raise questions. Very sad and disappointed. The hotel itself is pretty, and the staff are nice, but too much happened for me to stay again. The restaurant menu also got repetitive during my ten-day visit. While I had a bad cold, I asked for chicken noodle soup with garlic and explained what I wanted. What arrived was a tasteless watery soup I couldn't eat. They forgot the garlic, pepper, and chicken seasoning I asked for, so I went to a supermarket in town to get ramen noodles to make in my room. Their vegetable cream soup is good, but I wanted broth because I was sick. Breakfast was much the same: after I asked why there were never pancakes or waffles, they served some the next day that were burnt. I asked the chef why they had brought them out when it would have been better to do nothing. There was never soup at the dinner buffet either. I believe guests are being overcharged this way, and the lack of professionalism is hard to believe.

The view is amazing. It's a beautiful hotel on a huge piece of land, with a lot of care put into its appearance.
