Hotel Palm Beach

The air conditioning was loud, and there were mosquitoes. It’s a good hotel in a great location, though it needs more renovations.

The lively beach atmosphere was one of the best parts of enjoying Hotel Palm Beach and the beaches of Pointe-Noire. The city's young people and others gather there, with music, grilled food, and beers at affordable prices. It’s a fun place to meet people and make connections. People socialize, play beach games, and enjoy being together; laughter, music, and crashing waves make the mood infectious and uplifting. The crowd is diverse, with people from many backgrounds and cultures, so there are interesting conversations and chances to broaden your horizons. The natural setting is beautiful too: clear water, soft sand, and picturesque surroundings. You can relax in the shade of palm trees or swim in the ocean. There are affordable choices for food and drinks, from freshly grilled seafood and local dishes to refreshing beverages, so you can enjoy the local cuisine without spending too much.

The restaurant sits right on the beach and is busy, especially in the evenings. Service can be slow, but the food is good and portions are generous. The rooms are spacious and well maintained, each with a large balcony, and the pool area is charming. It’s cozy and beautifully located on the côte sauvage riviera, though I found it a bit overpriced given the slow WiFi and basic breakfast buffet.

The rooms near the pool are spared the railway noise. The ground-floor ones weren’t as nice as the higher rooms, though, and seemed to come with more bugs. The room was still okay otherwise.
