Chalet Butterfly

The view from the apartment is fantastic, with mountains and a waterfall, and having a parking space was ideal. It’s a lovely, well-located apartment in a quiet neighborhood. There’s a supermarket and bakery a five-minute walk away, with beautiful hiking trails, sights, and gondolas nearby. The center is about 15 minutes away, close enough, though the walk naturally includes slopes. The place looked very tidy at first, but a few hygiene details could be improved: the silicone rim by the bedroom sink, a dirty pan in the cupboard, and the bathroom radiator knob. The kitchen extractor hood was especially dirty. We only saw the very friendly owners briefly when we arrived. They gave us complete privacy, which was nice, but they may have been a little too absent. Apparently, we were entitled to a guest pass for a significant gondola discount. The cashier suggested contacting them on WhatsApp, but our calls went unanswered, and there was no callback or message. We didn’t see anyone on the morning we left either. Even with those issues and the unnecessarily high gondola fares, we had a very nice holiday in this lovely apartment.

A really lovely chalet, with two kids’ rooms that each have a desk, wardrobe, and bed. The view is beautiful, and there’s a large balcony. It’s not far from the bakery and grocery store.

The mountains feel almost within reach from the living room window, and we had a wonderful, relaxing few days here. We were very comfortable in this apartment, which suits a family with two children. We came with our two Great Danes, and they were welcome too. There’s free parking in front of the house, just a few steps up to the entrance, and a “Welcome” sign on the front door. Every room was spotless and very well furnished. They also provide written information about the area and restaurants. The covered balcony goes all the way around the apartment and leads to a large terrace with a grill.

The house has most of what you need and was clean, and the homeowner was very respectful. It is quite far from Interlaken, though, and unfortunately it can no longer be booked.
