After a hike from Adelboden along the river, this is a lovely spot to stop and refuel. We found it really welcoming, with great food. There’s a good playground to keep the kids happy, and the outdoor terrace is a nice place to take in the view and the weather.

The waitress was very kind, and we had a warm table with a view. The food tasted good, but a few details were missing: the tomatoes still had their green centers, which weren’t edible, and the portions felt limited for the price. We had Berg Rösti, Berg Macaroni, and a big (small) salad. It’s clearly popular with tourists, which may affect the prices, but nearly 5 for a Coke is much too much. Taking it all into account, I wouldn’t give it more than three stars.

We stayed for two nights with two adults and one teenager, and were very happy with our choice. The location is wonderful, the staff are very friendly, and the food is very good. Our accommodation was clean and comfortable.
