Hotel Bergsonne Rigi

The owner’s warm welcome made the stay feel like a visit to someone’s home, and I can’t wait to come back. We also had a five-course dinner at the restaurant, with delicate flavors that kept impressing us from one course to the next. Bergsonne has a cozy wooden interior, and the lake view from the hotel was magical. I can only imagine how lovely the terrace must be in summer. Getting there was easy, just a short walk from the cable car or train station, and the famous thermal bath is close by too. A real pearl of Rigi. I can’t remember the last time I stayed somewhere quite like it in Switzerland.

We only stayed from Sunday night to Monday morning, but the beautiful views made it a memorable visit. Our room was comfortable, spotless and lovely. The manager was kind, attentive and professional from the moment we arrived, and the service made us feel welcome and looked after throughout our stay. We're grateful for the warmth and care we received. We'd love to return and would recommend this place to anyone after a relaxing stay.

A bit of a climb gets you to this small, rustic hotel at the top of the mountain, so be prepared if you're carrying large bags. We had a deck looking out over the valley, and the views are some of the most amazing I've seen. The room was simple but very clean, and well worth the price. The restaurant meal was among the best we've had anywhere, and the cook did a great job. I'd highly recommend it for a mountain hike or just a quick, relaxing escape.

When I accidentally booked the wrong dates, they still found me a room. The staff were so pleasant and accommodating, and Upendra was especially helpful, going above and beyond. The hotel was extremely clean, breakfast was really nice, and the view is unreal.
