The food was delicious across the board, and the kitchen especially deserves praise. It was the best meal we've had in a Swiss three or four star hotel. Service was second to none, and the hotel is just 100 m from the ski lift.

The staff couldn't have done more for us, and I'd happily stay again. My room was quite basic, but having a balcony was great. It's a lovely hotel, though a little dated.

That guest card was a big plus for us: it covered all the cable cars and public transport for free. We spent 15 days at Steinmattli and felt right at home. The room and balcony were roomy and cosy, and everything was spotless. Breakfast and dinner were very good, and all the staff were friendly and did what they could for guests. Good value for money.

Breakfast and dinner both offered plenty of choice and were served beautifully. The food didn't disappoint. Our room was comfortable, very clean and well appointed, and the views were fantastic. The staff were wonderful too. I really loved my stay!

We enjoyed the good quality and range at breakfast, and the service was friendly and quick. Still, I thought the hotel was overpriced for what it offers. The rooms are large, with great views from the balcony, and there's a small TV with plenty of channels. The bathroom is an okay size, but the shower fell down. The beds felt like waterbeds and were quite uncomfortable, so we didn't sleep or rest well. They were also very hot under the winter quilts.
