The food at The Brecon was a highlight for me, with every meal feeling thoughtful, beautifully cooked, and satisfying. And having champagne brought to the room before dinner was such a well judged treat, celebratory without being flashy. After a day in the mountains, the hotel felt like a calm place to settle in, have afternoon tea, and catch up with other guests who started to feel like friends. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, while still refined. The staff were outstanding throughout. Every interaction felt warm, personal, and easy, and I felt cared for without being managed. What makes The Brecon memorable is how the food, service, little touches, and peaceful setting all fit together. I left already looking forward to coming back.

The mountain views from the sauna, pool, and room were beautiful, and the hotel sits on the edge of Adelboden, so it was really quiet. Staff were super friendly and the service was top class. I felt like family. Breakfast was amazing. There’s a small buffet, plus you can order anything from the menu at no extra charge. The eggs benedict I had were top notch. The room was warmer than I like at first, but opening the window and turning down the heater sorted it out after a while. 7/5, I’d go again.

We fell for the decor and all the little details at The Brecon. The place is beautiful, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere made it easy to relax. The staff were so warm and paid close attention to what we needed, which made our stay feel extra special. We’ll definitely come back, and next time bring friends. Moments like the ones we had here are better shared. Thanks to everyone for everything! 🙂

Our Village room was stunning, with a balcony looking out at the mountains and our own fireplace. Getting there from Zurich was easy, a couple of hours by train and then a short bus ride from Frutigen. Adelboden itself is a small, cute mountain town with downhill and cross country skiing nearby. After skiing during the day, we unwound at the Brecon spa. The dry sauna looks out over the mountains, and the outdoor pool has great views too. We also appreciated the unlimited drinks and all food and drinks being included. The cooks are excellent, and I found myself wanting seconds most nights. The staff were friendly and attentive, with useful advice on ski areas and rental shops. They also made excellent hot chocolates. A lovely place for a relaxing mountain stay.

I really liked the no TV idea. It made the room feel calmer, and there’s chess and a radio playing soft music if you want to unwind. The spa was great too, with warm water that was just right for relaxing. The room notecards explain things clearly, which I appreciated. There were lots of thoughtful touches in the room, from the welcome note to the comfy soft bed, lovely views, and bathroom stocked with AESOP products. Breakfast was lovely, and in the evening there was tea with house made treats like matcha cookies, scones, and cakes. Later came Aperol, then a candle light dinner. They paid close attention to my allergy requests, and each course had an exquisite local wine. Liqueurs and hot drinks were offered after dinner too. Everything felt generous and well curated. More than anything, the service was sweet, kind, and welcoming. It was a crazy, unforgettable stay at The Brecon, with great food and tremendous hospitality. Their sister property The Cambrian allows kids and pets, unlike The Brecon.
