2/10
At 140 CHF a night, I expected much better. There are cheaper, better options near the center of Basel. The room had no heating at all, the staff were rude, and breakfast was so bad you’d leave hungry. Even the coffee was basically water with a drop of coffee. Completely unacceptable.

A lovely gasthaus right in the middle of Aesch, with a good restaurant and friendly staff and chef. Wishing them all the best for the future.
