We made the most of the nearby hikes and enjoyed the mountain rails and gorgeous scenery. The hotel itself was charming, with a large, bright, very clean room and warm, comfortable beds. Breakfast had lots of variety, including local and continental choices. We’d love to come back.

They helped me get back some things I’d left in the room, which was very kind. The views are lovely, the service is especially nice, and the food and wine were very good, with local products at a reasonable price.

The location is great for exploring, and we loved the view from our room’s balcony. The restaurant was a letdown, though. In the evenings we often felt unwelcome, and the waiter seemed stressed or unimpressed that we were there. Portions were small unless you ordered pizza. At breakfast, the man working the shift was friendly, polite, and welcoming every morning. The selection was limited, with cereal, bread, coffee, fruit, meat, and cheese, but seeing him made breakfast pleasant. The woman at reception who helped with our travel card was also very polite and friendly. The surroundings are beautiful, but this is a fairly basic hotel. The decor feels dated, and the hallways are poorly lit. The restaurant experience really brings the stay down.

The food and service were good, and the sofas were comfortable, though the chairs felt a little hard. The decor is casual, nothing fancy, but the atmosphere is still nice. Prices are about what you’d expect around here. The acoustics are awful, however, and even when it isn’t busy, it’s difficult to talk across the table.

I hadn’t planned on coming to this region, but staying in the vacation home provided by Berg & Bett was a highlight. It was simply amazing, one of the best places I’ve stayed anywhere, and now I’m planning to return to the area.
