We picked this place because it was a short drive to Mount Stoos. The rooms were clean, and breakfast was included, with a nice classic Swiss spread. The toilet was shared, though, and there’s no parking on site, so you’ll need to find and pay for overnight parking. We booked online, but after 6pm there was no concierge or anyone around. It took about five or six calls before someone finally explained where the key was outside. At checkout they tried to charge an extra 40€ for our two kids, aged 3 and 5, who’d only eaten a little yogurt. I politely said no, but she replied harshly and charged me 20€ anyway.

Breakfast service in the morning was excellent. Still, I wouldn’t stay here again. The room smelled damp, and the hotel sits on a very busy road, so there’s noise. Sharing bathrooms would be fine, but with about 15 rooms there’s only one shower and two toilets. For the price, I’d stay somewhere else.

Friendly staff, and both the restaurant and breakfast were nice. It worked well as a place to stop on the way to Italy. Just check your booking carefully, since some rooms have a shared shower and toilet while others have them in the room.

We stayed in the room where Goethe once stayed, which made for a nice experience. It’s a historic place and decent enough, but the service was very bad. We weren’t treated well, and the attitude toward us was rude.
