Hotel Bernerhof Grindelwald

I was given an upgrade to a double room with a mountain view and balcony. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and the mountain view was amazing. I stayed two nights in January, and the breakfast was okay, though I’ve had better elsewhere. The staff were very accommodating and let me leave my luggage in the luggage room when the check-in and check-out times didn’t line up with my trains. The location in Grindelwald is hard to beat, about 10 metres from the train station, with the buses for sledding and skiing right outside the hotel.

The room was clean and cosy, and breakfast each day was great. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the views were breathtaking, and the location was perfect. A really charming hotel, highly recommended for a lovely stay in Grindelwald.

We stayed five nights, with the train and bus stations and all the stores close by. The Eiger view was amazing too. Elias kindly let us check in early and upgraded us to a family room. Karina was always smiling and ready to help at the lovely breakfast spread each morning.

The hotel is in a great spot across from both the bus and railway stations, right by a grocery store. We had a balcony room, and the balcony was a lovely place to enjoy the views. Rooms are small but clean and tidy, with a handy hot water boiler. Breakfast was pretty good, and the staff were really nice. There can be events in the main square across the road, and sometimes it gets noisy on Saturdays. Earplugs did the job.
