We live nearby and enjoy the restaurant's menu from time to time, but I'm writing because we held our wedding reception at Il Castagno last year. We met with Marco and the team to go over the options, and Stefano's suggestions about food and drinks made the planning feel easy. He talked through the proposed menu with my bride in great detail, and everything we agreed on was delivered. We booked every room in the hotel for our guests, who all commented on how efficient, relaxed, and consistently cheerful the team was. Rain meant we couldn't use the outdoor seating as planned. At the last minute, the staff rearranged everything indoors, and it didn't spoil anyone's enjoyment. The antipasti buffet was tremendous, and both the primi and secondi were out of this world. Marco and the whole team were wonderfully accommodating, and the food and service were excellent. Living close to Il Castagno might make me seem biased, but the experience was beyond good. Thanks to the Castagno team!

It's pretty out of the way, but so peaceful. The rooms are nice, especially those comfy beds, the staff are really friendly, and the food is excellent. They serve local dishes as well as pizza, and it's all really good. I'll be back! 👏👏👏

We spent a week there over the holidays with our big family. The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed. My favorite part was opening the windows to let in the fresh mountain air and hearing cowbells in the distance. There are lovely walks from the hotel, and several nearby villages to explore. Breakfast downstairs in the restaurant had a huge variety of options. Highly recommend.
