The cabin sits above Amden village, with lovely views and roomy living spaces. It has three sleeping areas: downstairs, on the main floor, and in a loft reached by ladder. The kitchen is full-sized and well stocked with cookware, plates, and the basics. Inside, the decor has a rustic Alpine lodge look. It's a great base for hiking or a quiet break, and was a lovely summer stay, though I can't comment on winter activities. You can get groceries in Amden, but the nearest apotheke is some distance away. We had a very enjoyable visit.

With its rustic feel and good amenities, this is a lovely holiday home for a family. In winter, keep in mind that a 4x4 or snow chains are strongly recommended because parts of the access road can be icy.
