Hotel Al Ponte

The food was tasty, the place very clean, and the staff friendly. We did wait longer than usual, though. I heard a couple nearby complain about the wait, which I think may have been because of the unexpectedly nice weather. Shorter waits for food would probably lead to better comments.

The rooms look freshly renovated, and the bathroom could pass for one in a 5 Star Hotel. This small hotel has just about everything you might want, and it's a great base for visiting nearby places. The bar, restaurant, and breakfast buffet were all 10/10. Loved it!

The food was tasty, and most of the staff were very professional. One German female waitress made the meal frustrating, though. She stood across the table and reached in front of the person beside me, asking me to take the plate from her instead of setting it down in front of me. She handled our glasses the same way. When we ordered a large bottle of water, she left it on the table without opening or pouring it, and she didn't seem especially busy. Paying was uncomfortable too. While we entered our PIN on the machine, she kept looking at it, so we had to cover the keypad ourselves. I do recommend the restaurant, but hope I don't run into that same waitress again.

We'd always spot the crazy winter decorations while driving home on the motorway, so we finally stopped for dinner in summer. It was great. There's a playground, some kids' books, and a super terrace.
