The food at the restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced, and the staff are friendly and attentive. The hotel rooms are nice and good quality too. Everything feels authentic and is very well maintained, with clean, comfortable rooms.

Gasthaus Hof made our visit to Appenzell truly memorable. It's right in the middle of the beautiful old town, making it ideal for strolling around the shops and visiting attractions in the region. The restaurant serves mouthwatering local specialties, and the multilingual staff made them accessible for our English speakers. I highly recommend it.

A lovely Swiss hotel, decorated with pine on the interior walls and ceilings. Everything was very clean, and the Swiss food was delicious. Joseph, the host and manager, was attentive and full of useful information. Looking forward to coming back.

The rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable, and the bathroom was excellent and spotless too. Breakfast had cereals and yoghurt, though I would have liked some fruit as well. Still, it's a nice place to spend a night or more in the heart of Appenzell. Thank you, GASTHAUS HOTEL HOF.

The spätzle were delicious, with a lovely toasted edge, and went really well with the meat. We came for dinner on a Sunday since so few places were open, and were glad to find this one. The meal was reasonably priced for the area, the staff were really friendly, and the restaurant felt comfortable with a great atmosphere.
