Hotel Restaurant Seegarten

The hotel is outside the center of Arbon, though that didn't matter since we were driving. We were greeted warmly, and our rooms were clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We had an excellent dinner at the hotel and could sit outside. Breakfast was very good too. There's some construction nearby to keep in mind. Lena was especially hospitable. We had a great overnight stay.

The staff were helpful, and the place was clean. Our bed was comfortable, though the pillows could be better. We had a lovely, roomy room, with the sink and make-up mirror separate from the toilet and shower. Breakfast was included, and the cheerful, smiling breakfast lady was a welcome change after several miserable-looking ones we'd dealt with elsewhere. The walls are paper-thin, so we could hear the people next door talking loudly. Access to the room is through two doors, and people seem to slam them shut, bang, bang, bang. We're careful about others, but not everyone is. I'd definitely stay again.

The room was clean and roomy, with two floors, which worked well for the four of us. We stayed for a long weekend and it was better than I expected. The kids enjoyed the garden, the playroom for bad-weather downtime, and the walk to the lake through the forest. There's plenty of parking for cars and bikes, and the staff were nice with the children and always willing to help. The restaurant dinner was really good. When we arrived, we tried to order ham and cheese sandwiches from the bar, but they couldn't make them since they weren't on the menu, even though ham and cheese were available separately. The room wasn't ready until 3 in the afternoon, but that was okay. I thought the price was a bit high, though in the end it was worth it.

A nice place for quiet gatherings, family reunions, and that sort of thing. The indoor and outdoor dining areas are great, and the food is worth recommending.
