It was my first visit to Arosa, and although the weather wasn't great, I'll certainly come back. Hotel Astoria is a lovely little gem with all the conveniences. I'd booked a single room but was given a very convenient double instead, which I really appreciated. Good value, a nice breakfast, and a very nice spa area. I stayed three nights.

“I don't like being told when I'm wrong.” That's what the owner's wife shouted at me during dinner. I'd ordered the set menu, but she mistakenly thought I'd ordered a salad. When I pointed out the mix-up, she raised her voice and answered rudely and unprofessionally instead of calmly checking the order. She shouldn't have spoken to a customer so disrespectfully. The service was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. I've been coming here for six years, and I won't return.

It's a quiet, spotless hotel with an easygoing feel, warm atmosphere, and lovely live music on weekend evenings. The guests are low-key, and the owners clearly care about making a good impression. Staff service is high quality, and the owners can recommend excellent ski guides and advise on what you need for a great time in Arosa. They also provide high-quality toboggans for guests. We've already booked for 2023 before leaving, for our fourth visit to this well-run, family-owned traditional Swiss hotel. I ski all over the Alps and always pick the Astoria for family trips. It's family friendly, with great local food: delicious breakfasts and Swiss recipes at dinner after a long day on the slopes. It's not ski-in, ski-out, but the main lift is an easy, gentle five-minute walk and that has never put us off.

The meals were really tasty, and breakfast was excellent and fresh. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable, and the sauna was lovely, with a wonderful view.

Our stay was fabulous, though unfortunately far too short. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast had something for everyone and a great choice of fresh breads. They even cooked my scrambled eggs exactly how I like them. 😁
